Account information

When you create an account, we collect your name and email address. If you sign up with Google, we also receive your profile photo and the basic profile information Google shares with us. If you sign up with email and password, we store your password in hashed form — we never store or have access to your plaintext password.

Usage and learning data

We record which lessons you complete, your progress through courses, and any thumbs-up/thumbs-down feedback you leave on lesson content. This lets us show your progress back to you and improve our courses.

Technical and log data

When you log in, we store your session along with your IP address and browser user-agent string, for security and fraud-prevention purposes. We also use Google Analytics to understand aggregate usage of the Service (e.g. which pages are visited and how often), which may use cookies and collect information such as your device type, browser, and approximate location.

We do not sell your personal information.

We use essential cookies to keep you signed in and to secure your session. We also use Google Analytics cookies to measure site usage. You can control cookies through your browser settings, though disabling essential cookies may prevent you from staying signed in.

We share limited data with the following service providers, solely to operate the Service:

• Google (Sign-In & Analytics) — for authentication if you choose to sign in with Google, and for aggregate usage analytics.
• Our hosting and database providers — to run the Service and store account and learning data securely.

These providers only receive the data necessary to perform their function and are not permitted to use it for any other purpose.

We retain your account and learning data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we delete or anonymize your personal information within a reasonable period, except where we're required to retain it for legal or security reasons.

• Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
• Ask us to delete your account and associated data
• Opt out of non-essential communications

We use industry-standard measures — including encryption in transit and hashed passwords — to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can remove it.
